Physicians Mutual is hiring a Sr. Data Engineer in our Enterprise Technology Group. The selected candidate will design, develop, test and maintain scripts and jobs that are required to extract, transform, clean and load data into operational data stores. Mentor less experienced designers and serve as a project technical lead for mid-sized data projects.
Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience.8+ years of IT experience, to include at least 6 years’ progressive experience in relational database management systems.6+ years of SQL experience. 4+ years' experience using Python. Demonstrate experience in data engineering with 8 years' experience using ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage).Strong relational database knowledge, including a broad understanding of current and prospective data architecture and database performance tuning. Preferred:SQL programming in a DB2 environmentSQL programming in SQL Server environmentWorkday programming experienceExperience with Docker/JenkinsExperience in mentoring, coaching or developing others in a professional environmentAbout Us:Health.
