Program summary

POSITION OVERVIEWUnder the direction of a Lead Mechanic or Sr. A&P Mechanic, work with supervision in performing the repair and maintenance of PHI Air Medical aircraft and associated equipment. Assist with ensuring accuracy of all pertinent documentation.JOB SUMMARYAssist the on duty mechanic with the review and evaluation of daily maintenance or inspection requirements and carry out various tasks in order to maintain airworthiness of the aircraft.Assist in preparing reports, requisitions, inventories and learn how to personally certify on aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms that the work was done in accordance with the requirements of the FAA, manufacturers and PHI Health.Learn how to comply with entries in RAMCO and other PHI Health documentation requirements.Maintain close communication with Lead Mechanic and/or Sr.Mechanic, AMBS, and other agents as appropriate in order to ensure effective and timely job completion.Assist and learn how to maintain a parts inventory and how and when to recommend level changes when necessary.Assist and learn how to maintain company provided special tools.Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.SCHEDULE/LOCATIONLexington, KY7 & 7QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Hold an FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.0-2 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic.Possess basic skills in communication.Computer skills required.Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam.Lift up to 100lbs.Must be able to pass drug and background screening.Must possess basic set of mechanics tools.
