PositionAre you ready to make an impact in the fast-paced world of global satellite and IP services? OneWeb Technologies dba Eutelsat Network Solutions (Eutelsat NS) is looking for a Satellite Network Operations Technician 1 to provide Tier 1 support for a cutting-edge, multi-platform network. Based in-person at Ellington Field, Joint Reserve Military Base in Houston, Texas, this role plays a key part in delivering seamless network operations for our diverse, worldwide customers.You’ll tackle everything from satellite performance monitoring to troubleshooting customer issues and coordinating system upgrades. As a member of our team, you’ll be essential in keeping services running smoothly across satellite, terrestrial, and Wi-Fi infrastructures. This position is on-site, requires US Citizenship, as well as a willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Roles & job description

Primary ResponsibilitiesResolve customer issues related to end-user terminals, support complex system installations and startup at customer sites.Coordinate resources to resolve complex network and provisioning issues impacting external and internal customersMonitor satellite transponder configurations and performance, in real-time, and report conditions and irregularities to the team lead.Open and track trouble tickets to resolve network and/or remote terminal issues maintaining timely and accurate records.Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware and software issues in a timely and accurate manner; providing end user training as required.Perform basic IP Networking tasks, including installation, and troubleshooting of layer 2 and 3 devices.Coordinate staging, migrations, and upgrades of the system. Maintain awareness of service changes with vendors and other stakeholdersPerform limited integration and initial configuration of new user terminals and products prior to shipment.Identify performance issues and recommend/implement corrections. Identify alarm correlations and appropriate response actions.Ability and willingness to work in a scheduled 24x7 environment including nights, weekends, and holidays.TRAVELMinimal travel is projected for this position for on-site maintenance – less than 5% domestic.Education and KnowledgeTwo-year college degree or equivalent work experience in electronics, computer science, information systems, or related technical field.Current A+, Net+, SEC+ desired.ExperienceUnderstanding of IP and RF troubleshooting procedures.Solid background of Cisco IOS and networking (TCP/IP, IPSEC, Routing and Firewalls), WAN and LAN technologies is preferred.TalentsExcellent English verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Must be self-motivated, dynamic, creative team player.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to seek assistance when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Ability to work independently, and collaboratively in a team environment.
