Job Title: Field Service Technician – Brace Fitting SpecialistLocation: San DiegoEmployment Type: Full-time / Part-timeTravel: Yes, localOverview:We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused Field Service Technician with experience in fitting orthopedic braces and durable medical equipment (DME). This position involves delivering, fitting, and educating patients on orthopedic braces and supports prescribed by healthcare providers.________________________________________Key Responsibilities:• Deliver and fit orthopedic braces (e.g., knee, ankle, wrist, back) at clinics, hospitals, or patient homes.• Educate patients on proper use, care, and maintenance of braces and supports.• Review prescriptions and confirm correct sizing and device type.• Document patient interactions and complete fitting records in compliance with HIPAA and company protocols.• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to ensure optimal patient care.• Maintain inventory of braces and supplies in company vehicle or assigned region.• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on brace products.• Ensure all DME documentation is accurate and submitted on time for billing purposes.• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.________________________________________Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in orthotic fitting preferred (COF, ABC or BOC certification a plus).• Prior experience in orthopedic brace fitting or DME field service strongly preferred.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.• Comfortable working independently and traveling to various locations.• Physically capable of lifting 30-50 lbs regularly.________________________________________Preferred Skills:• Experience with EMR or DME billing systems.• Knowledge of Medicare/insurance guidelines for orthotic fitting.• Familiarity with wound care, lymphedema, or podiatry-related products a plus.• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
