Program summary

Ogden Art Metal provides service members with in-depth training. This internship would provide the service member with the skills needed to obtain employment in the construction (welding) service industry. Furthermore, upon completion of the internship, the member will be interviewed for a shop welder or field welder role with Ogden Art Metal. This role, depending on the level hired at would pay between $20.00 - $40.00 per hour.

Roles & job description

The Steel Fabricator/Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding steel components according to drawings and specifications. This role involves cutting, grinding, assembling, and welding structural and miscellaneous steel using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding processes while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The fabricator/welder must be able to read blueprints, accurately measure materials, operate shop equipment, and work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
