The Aviation Fuel System Specialist SkillBridge program offers hands-on, real-world training in the inspection, maintenance, and calibration of aviation fueling systems throughout the US. Participants gain practical experience performing filter changes, system testing, valve maintenance, and equipment calibration in active field environments.With OSHA 30 certification and structured On-the-Job Training (OJT), this program prepares transitioning service members for high-demand careers in aviation fuel systems. High-performing participants may be offered full-time employment upon completion.
The Aviation Fuel System Specialist SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in the inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of aviation fueling systems.Participants will receive structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) under the supervision of experienced technicians while working in real-world environments such as airports and fuel storage facilities.Training includes:Filter changes and filtration system maintenanceCalibration of fuel dispensers and bulk metering systemsAnnual testing of pressure relief valvesGauge inspection and verificationValve maintenance and replacementTroubleshooting and minor repairs of fueling systemsSafety procedures including PPE and hazard awarenessParticipants will also complete OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification and gain experience with industry-standard documentation and compliance practices.This program is designed to prepare participants for full-time employment as aviation fuel system technicians.
