Nixa Fire Protection Districthasn't added or updated a directory listing in over two years (last activity May 21, 2024). Programs like this are sometimes inactive even though they remain listed. Email the POC first, and have a backup option.
We are looking to provide an internship opportunity to members transitioning from Military to Civilian life. Ideally the candidates would have IFSAC Firefighter 1 & 2 certification and/or National Registry EMT-Basic and be looking for employment as a civilian firefighter after their military service.
Full Time employment as a Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic.
Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
Fire Academy Opportunity to receive Firefighter and EMT Certification runs from early February to Mid-May each year for those who need training. Certified individuals have much more flexibility in scheduling throughout the year.
