CDL A Military Driver Training Skillbridge Program - On the Job Training
The employee/trainee will be trained in the following areas involved in the successful performance of the duties and responsibilities of a CDL A driver position. The employee/trainee will be trained in NFI policy, D.O.T. regulations and complete in-depth training of NFI company and account procedures. A heavy concentration shall be placed on behind the wheel/ road-time OJT training in weeks 2-8. CDL A Military training will be based Military Occupation Specialty in lieu with FMCSA Military Skills Test Waiver Program.
Perform all duties safely and responsibly.Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards and guidelines.Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg. Ability to report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during and after route.Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area. Ability to perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.
88Ms or Military Occupation Specialty in lieu with FMCSA Military Skills Test Waiver Program.
NFI Basic Driver Qualifications Include:Minimum 21 years of ageCurrent Class A CDL from your state of residence relevant tractor-trailer experienceAcceptable references from past employersMeet all applicable DOT qualifications
