IT Specialist providing versatile support across multiple technical areas, including cybersecurity, operational expertise, systems engineering, training, software development, and configuration management. Monitoring networks, serving as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms or applications. Assisting in the design, deployment, and maintenance of Windows and Linux systems. Conducting basic user training sessions, and developing IT tools and procedures. Performing routine system administration task. (NIWC Pacific)
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems; basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (patch management, vulnerability scanning, access controls).• Ability to document procedures clearly and communicate effectively with technical and non technical personnel.• Experience with version control or configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN, CMDB) is a plus.
