NASA explores the unknown in air and space, innovates for the benefit of humanity, and inspires the world through discovery. The agency has a workforce of civil servants, and works with many more U.S. contractors, academia, and international and commercial partners. There are 20 NASA centers and facilities across the country, including the only national laboratory in space.The program provides opportunities for the servicemembers to gain valuable experience, training, and networking connections. As a participant in the SkillBridge program, you may be eligible for a fellowship from 90-180 days and will work under the guidance of senior employees to support NASA mission operations. You will assist NASA personnel in the planning, development, and execution of programs, projects, and activities specific to your qualifications and/or field of interests. While there is no conversion opportunity during or at the end of SkillBridge program, servicemembers can apply for positions at NASA https://www.nasa.gov/careers/ or, if eligible, can be non-competitively appointed to a position for which they qualify.
