Monster Tree Service Skillbridge Program - Mechanic Track
This SkillBridge position provides hands-on training in diesel and heavy equipment maintenance for a commercial service fleet. Participants learn preventive maintenance, diagnostics, hydraulic systems, DOT inspection procedures, and safe shop operations. The role prepares service members for employment as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
The Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic SkillBridge position supports the maintenance and repair of commercial fleet vehicles, including diesel trucks, bucket trucks, chippers, cranes, and stump grinders. Trainees learn preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, electrical and hydraulic system repair, and DOT-compliant inspections under supervision. Duties include oil and filter changes, brake and tire service, equipment repairs, work order documentation, shop organization, and safe tool operation. Participants receive hands-on experience needed for full-time employment as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
