Provides hands-on technical support for Laboratory facilities, fabrication, equipment, prototype development, maintenance, inspection, testing, and technical operations. Work may involve skilled trades, machining, fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, equipment operation, troubleshooting, inspection, and testing based on the assigned trade or technical specialty.
Performs skilled trade and technical activities in support of Laboratory facilities, equipment, fabrication, prototype development, testing, and operations. Responsibilities may include interpreting drawings, schematics, specifications, work orders, and technical documentation; operating tools, machinery, and equipment; performing fabrication, machining, assembly, installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing; and using measurement, diagnostic, inspection, or precision tools to verify quality and performance. Works with technicians, tradespeople, engineers, Facilities personnel, and other Laboratory staff while following established safety, security, quality, and work procedures.
