Program summary

We want to job train any enlisted or officer with the right experience to become a prospective instructor for us after their transition. Normal work schedule - The SkillBridge member would work the same schedules as the current employees on the RC/OC/WC-135 E-4B Aircrew Training Contract. All employees work eight hours per day. When employees are in academic classes, they generally work from 0800-1700L with an hour for lunch. This allows the student attendees the opportunity to rest between the AM and PM academic periods. Employees all instruct outside of the classroom and that is done on training devices and on aircraft. These times are much more varied depending upon the availability of the resources. General time periods are from 0500 - 2359L with the employee working for NO more than eight hours consecutively and for a total of eight hours in a 24-hour time period. The SkillBridge member would work these time periods as well as that is when the other employees are working and the students are attending the training. The current contract requires our employees to be available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The SkillBridge member would align with this as well.

Interview prep for this program
Ask them
  • ▸ "How many of your past SkillBridge interns received full-time offers?" — a serious program knows the number.
  • ▸ "Who will my day-to-day mentor be, and what does week one look like?"
  • ▸ "The listing says 151 - 180 days — can that flex to my approved window if my command shortens it?"
  • ▸ "Is relocation expected for a full-time offer, or can I convert where I am?"
  • ▸ "You list IN, CREW, RC — what did interns from those specialties end up doing here?"
  • ▸ Confirm the eligibility notes above — ask exactly what they need from you and when.
Bring to the conversation
  • ✓ Your projected start window and separation date (from your profile)
  • ✓ Your command's approval status — even "packet drafted" signals you're serious
  • ✓ Your civilian-translated resume bullets (generate them here)
  • ✓ A written training-plan ask — you'll need it for your packet anyway
