This position is responsible for reading blueprints, cutting and fitting materials, and welding components to specifications. The employee must be able to work independently or as part of a team, and be committed to quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Work safely while treating others with respect thereby preserving an excellent work environment.• Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.• Cut, fit, and weld metal components using various welding methods• Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, grinders, saws, and shears.• Read technical drawings and quality documentation • Inspect finished welds to ensure structural soundness and compliance with specifications.• Perform layout, positioning, and measurement of materials before welding.• Maintain a clean and organized work area.• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.• Assist with other fabrication tasks and general shop duties as needed.• Ensuring attention to detail and quality.• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.• Strong attention to detail and quality.
