Shift Engineer (Stationary Engineer, First Grade)
Provide supervision for the operation and maintenance of a steam and/or cogeneration plant operating shift within Maryland Environmental Service. Assures that production and operational requirements are met. May provide daily supervision, instruction and training to shift personnel. Maintains steam/electricity production as required Assigns staff to specific projects. Maintains daily logs or tracking sheets of daily tasks. Performs routine equipment maintenance functions. Maintains adequate inventory of all required boiler chemicals, lubricating oils/greases, etc. Maintains excellent communications with MES Environmental Operations Group and customer/client.
