Maritime Institute is a provider of professional maritime training with primary training centers located in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA, and satellite locations in Honolulu, HI; Everett, WA; Piti, GU; and Alameda, CA. We provide over 100 deck and engineering USCG and STCW approved courses for initial endorsement and career enhancing upgrade training. Our expert staff of instructors provides a combination of unequaled teaching techniques with cutting-edge simulation technology and “hands-on” training systems. Instructors spend 20 – 40 hours a week teaching in a state-of-the-art facility to personnel with various experience levels in the industry. There is classroom instruction, coupled with the use of mechanical and electrical training laboratories, full mission capable simulators.

All instructors must be approved by the Coast Guard according to the requirements in NVIC 03/14 and applicable laws and regulations. There are no at-sea recency requirements; however, there are specific experience requirements for each course. Contact the POC for additional details.
Instructor requirements are based on experience at sea in deck or engineering positions. Your experience at sea is valuable. Do not let it go to waste!
