Roles & job description

1. Assist higher-grade engineers and/or technicians in performing technical engineering work, which is subordinate, incident or preparatory to higher level engineering activities. This includes such functions as assisting with site operations of production and overall planning of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems layout, fabrication and installation, and operation and testing conducted in the facility. Applies a limited background of knowledge of engineering concepts and methods and receives on-the-job training for established practices in the specialization or area of assignment.Examples of assignments includes:Assist engineering personnel in the accumulation, preparation and presentation of data. Gathers and compiles engineering data, using judgement and knowledge in selection from a variety of prescribed but non-standardized sources.Recognizes and reports/corrects readily apparent discrepancies and errors; processes the data according to well defined methods and designed formulas learned in schooling or on-the-job; selects a method for presenting the information in a concise format.Participates in engineering projects by engaging in testing activities, including the recording and proper interpretation of routine test results.Recognizes deviations in expected test results as instructed by senior engineers; analyzes and compensates for causes of deviations as instructed.Engages in engineering changes transactions and associated data. Participates in the development or verification of engineering changes.Extracts and systemizes data to satisfy reporting procedures and requirements.Attends meetings and accompanies higher-grade engineers on visits to other facilities.Compiles technical data, appraises work, exchanges ideas, and assists in obtaining any information required.(100%)
