Assistant Superintendent - Construction Management
The Assistant Superintendent supports daily on-site operations, assists with trade coordination, material tracking, and safety compliance. This role requires strong organization, document control skills, and the ability to cover for the Superintendent when needed.
●Review and take OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification●Learn how to utilize construction software and Microsoft Office tools to support project documentation and communication●Learn how to maintain proficiency in all friends of document control tools and processes ensuing accurate and timely reporting●Learn how to apply knowledge of JRM safety procedures and protocols, enforcing compliance on site●Learn how to communicate with multiple stakeholders to ensure project details are accurate and timelines are agreed upon●Learn how to coordinate building access, delivery schedules, and site logistics●Learn how to be proficient in reading and interpreting commercial construction plans and specifications●Learn how to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, design comments, and communicate relevant information to the appropriate parties●Learn how to prepare and manage construction administration tasks such as submittals and RFI processes, meeting minutes, progress tracking, and safety paperwork●Learn how to track procurement items from submittal through delivery and site installation●Learn how to serve as an assistant to one Superintendent on small to medium projects, or as part of a team supporting multiple Superintendents on larger projects●Learn how to supervise designated trades and work areas within the project scope●Learn how to support the Superintendent in managing daily site operations, including trade coordination, material tracking, and safety compliance.●Learn how to cover the job site in the Superintendent’s absence, identifying and resolving safety or project issues with subcontractors and building staff
