Marine Surveyor Mentorship
A Marine Surveyor SkillBridge Mentorship prepares transitioning service members for roles in inspecting vessels for safety, damage, and regulatory compliance; cargo inspections may also be conducted. Candidates create technical reports, conduct field surveys, and utilize specialized equipment. The SkillBridge Mentor will train under experienced surveyors to perform field audits and inspections of vessels/cargo for insurance, finance, potential buyers, and current owners.
An inspector examines products, processes, or structures to ensure they meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. Key responsibilities include conducting site visits, measuring/testing items using specialized tools, identifying defects, and documenting results in reports.
Based in Charleston, SC - Any travel costs are on the Service member. Optional certifications are available.
