What You’ll Do - During this SkillBridge ITC Transmission System Coordinator training program, you will train directly with certified trainers, Transmission System Coordinators and other operational experts to learn:• Preparing for and passing the NERC Reliability Coordinator (RC) Certification• Monitoring grid conditions using advanced Energy Management System (EMS) tools• Conducting power flow studies and supporting voltage control• Supporting switching and protective tagging processes• Responding to system events and participating in outage restoration activities• Coordinating real-time operations with utility partners and field crews• Participating in simulations, table-top exercises, and technical operator trainingWho Thrives in This Role: Service members with backgrounds in engineering, operations, aviation, nuclear, cybersecurity, communications, navigation, or mechanical/electrical systems tend to excel in our Operations Control Room.We value your military experience, including:• Strong situational awareness and decision-making under pressure• Technical aptitude with critical systems and monitoring tools• Clear communication in high-stakes situations• Analytical thinking and disciplined procedural work• Leadership in dynamic environmentsTraining Locations: Novi, MI and Ann Arbor, MI (must have the ability to travel between locations based on training needs)Basic Qualifications:• Technical school training, engineering background, or equivalent military experience• Experience with operational systems, troubleshooting, or command & control environments• Ability to pursue NERC System Operator Certification (training support provided)• Must be within 180 days of military separation and command-approved for SkillBridge• Authorized to work in the U.S. (ITC does not sponsor visa)
