David Finholt Construction Inc. - Construction Intern: SkillBridge Internship- Carpentry and General Construction David Finholt Construction, Inc. is seeking motivated interns to work and learn at our Decorah, IA facility and nearby jobsites, providing hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction. The successful candidate will participate in structured on-the job training and classroom instruction to develop practical skills in carpentry and general construction. This internship will last between 4 – 26 weeks and can commence within 180days before leaving active-duty service. Duties and Responsibilities

The objective of this internship is to explore a career in carpentry and general construction, earning real world industry qualifications and experience for a future in construction. A desire to learn and be part of a team. A willingness to pay attention to safety requirements both for a member and those around him/her. Some physical requirements are also outlined in our full training plan. The ability to make it to various job sites (all relatively local to our shop), and being able to function in a physical environment where bending, twisting, lifting, and climbing will all be necessary. Location at our shop in Winneshiek/Decorah, IA and our Job Sites in the same and surrounding counties.
