You’ll participate in campaign brainstorming sessions, assist in collecting and curating stories from across the organization, and support real-time engagement with our online community. Whether it's spotlighting a young person’s success, promoting events, or showcasing life at our thrift stores or residential campus, your work will help build awareness and inspire support for our mission. You’ll gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, analytics, storytelling, and community engagement. You may also assist with light graphic design, content scheduling tools, and the development of social media calendars. This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, creativity, digital trends, and using communication to make an impact. To thrive in this role, you should have strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of basic social media platforms. Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or scheduling tools like Buffer or Sprout Social is a plus—but we’re happy to train the right person. Most importantly, you'll bring curiosity, compassion, and a desire to tell meaningful stories that uplift our youth and community. This internship provides valuable civilian experience in communications, nonprofit marketing, and social media management—skills that are easily transferable to roles in marketing, public affairs, media relations, or corporate communications. As part of the Idaho Youth Ranch team, you’ll be helping to change lives while building new ones—including your own.
