Aircraft Manufacturing Skilled Trades Academy
Entry-level aerospace and advanced manufacturing production roles. Hiring Our Heroes is launching the HOH Skilled Trades Academy in South Puget Sound, Washington, with a focus on manufacturing. This hands-on, skills-based training initiative is designed to equip transitioning service members, veterans, and military and veteran spouses with foundational technical skills that support careers in aerospace and advanced manufacturing production. Participants will be introduced to core manufacturing concepts, shop-floor safety, quality expectations, tools, measurement, basic mechanical and electrical systems, and the professional skills needed to succeed in structured production environments. This is not just training—it is an intentional bridge to in-demand manufacturing careers, meaningful employment, and long-term economic opportunity in the South Puget Sound region.
Designed as a direct pathway to in-demand careers, this training prepares participants for entry-level technical roles in aerospace and advanced manufacturing, including machine operation, assembly support, automation, mechatronics, maintenance support, and quality or process technician roles. Participants will gain exposure to the skills needed to follow engineering instructions, use tools and measurement devices, understand basic mechanical and electrical systems, document work accurately, and meet safety and quality standards in a production setting. The goal is to provide a valuable, hands-on experience that can lead to full-time employment with aerospace and advanced manufacturing employers in the South Puget Sound region and create a strong foundation for long-term career growth in manufacturing.
