Broadcast Television News Producer - Broadcast Television News Producer
The program focuses on exposing participants to and actively engaging them in all aspects of local broadcast television production, with a specific emphasis on producing a live newscast and their role within a live broadcast facility. Candidates with a background in journalism and/or DINFOS training should consider this program.
Producer will research and write content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers. You will work with and guide reporters in story production and coordinate a creative vision with a team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff. Producers have to booth assigned newscasts, breaking news, and weather events. Producers are also responsible for timing out LIVE newscasts.
A journalism or Public Affairs background is helpful.
We have News Producer positions open at several of our 35 television stations nationwide.
