Calibration Specialist - Internship
Tuning Tech FS is seeking passionate individuals for the Calibration Specialist intern position(s) who can excel in vehicle performance, precision, and innovation. This role focuses on ECU tuning, diagnostics and data analysis to optimize performance while ensuring compliance with emissions and tailoring custom solutions for clients.Join our team and help push not only your limits, but the limits of vehicle performance while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
As a Calibration Specialist intern, members will gain hands-on experience learning to fine-tune engine control systems, transmission settings, and electronic components to optimize vehicle performance, balancing power, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities include analyzing vehicle data using diagnostic tools, developing and implementing custom calibration solutions, adjusting fuel maps, ignition timing, boost control, and emissions parameters, and testing calibrations on dynamometers and in real-world conditions. This role ensures compliance with emissions and motorsport regulations while researching and integrating new tuning technologies. Additionally, Calibration Specialists troubleshoot performance issues to meet customer expectations and enhance overall vehicle functionality. As an intern, members will spend most of their time with hands-on learning and application of processes and procedures. The other time will be spent on technical training via on-line courses and one-on-one instruction. (Roughly 80% hands-on learning, 20% book learning).
