Program summary

Our Company builds the Arleigh Burke class of destroyer for our one and only customer the United States Navy. General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is dedicated to finding and placing Service Members in to lucrative career opportunities for transitioning Service Members. Through our placement program SM's will submit a resume to our Military Program Manager, once reviewed the candidate is screened by hiring managers before completing an interview. Once the interview is complete and the SM has been approved, the SM will rotate through a department determined to be the best fit by both the SM and the Military Program Manager. While assigned to General Dynamics Bath Iron Works Skillbridge Candidates in this program will get a broad overview of how the department they are assigned operates and function. The overall objective of this program is to identify strengths of the Service Member and find the perfect fit before completing the program and receiving an offer.

Roles & job description

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is a marine production company located in Bath, Maine that designs, fabricates and tests all aspects of the United States Navy Class Arleigh Burke Destroyer. This SkillBridge program is designed for Service Members looking to find positions in the Salaried Production fields. Potential SkillBridge internships include but are not limited to Program Analyst, Front Line Supervisors in all departments, Quality Assurance, Safety, Management, Program Cost Analyst, Production Planners, Engineers, Planning Technician, Marine Design, Surveyors and Project Managers.
