We are seeking a full-time Calibration Technician (Skillbridge) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and perform testing and/or calibration activities by reviewing schedules, operating equipment and producing accurate records

Essential Functions:Perform calibration, tests, and verification of equipment to authorized plans and proceduresReview calibrations and equipment datasheets, manufacturer’s calibration procedures and Garmin internal product schedules to implement actions to update test and calibration procedures, as identifiedMaintain and ensure the integrity of calibration records and equipment profilesSupport Quality functions in providing and maintaining test equipment, fixtures, and interconnectsFollow schedules and perform basic tests and/or calibrations in accordance with plans and proceduresMove work and test equipment to and from work areasLift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job descriptionBasic Qualifications:Must be eligible transitioning military member for Skillbridge programAssociate’s Degree in Electronics Technology OR Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field OR a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR High School Diploma or GED with previous Military training OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.)Demonstrated strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel)Ability to move work and test equipment to and from work areasAbility to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job descriptionDesired Qualifications:Previous calibration, reliability, or electronics experienceExperience working in a calibration lab, test lab or engineering test environmentExperience with ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949
