Data Center Quality Inspector
This training opportunity will teach the trainee the role of Data Center Quality Inspector for the construction of Hyperscale Data Centers. Trainees will learn to inspect electrical and mechanical assets such as switchgear, panelboards, diesel generators, cooling towers, chillers, motor control centers, and more. Trainees will use electrical drawings and schematics to validate equipment. Testing and analysis of fuel, and collection of vibration data from rotating equipment for initial startup. Electrical tests such as Insulation Resistance (MEGGER), and Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO) will we taught and utilized. Infrared Imaging (Thermography) will be taught and performed, with Level I and Level II Thermography certification upon completion. Through Classroom and Lab time, trainees will have a deeper understanding of fundamentals, in addition to On The Job training.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of electrical safety- Gain an in-depth understanding of Lock Out Tag Out processes (LOTO), and the use of One- line drawings.- Learn in-depth the Building Quality and Commissioning process of Hyperscale Data Centers- Learn how to inspect and verify electrical and mechanical equipment integrity and accuracy- Learn requirements for Quality and Commissioning documentation and photographic verification- Inspection of electrical busway and mechanical splices in the Data Hall- Bore scoping of standby diesel generators prior to initial fueling- Use of specialized vibration monitoring equipment to collect vibration data on rotating equipment such as standby diesel generators, pumps, and cooling towers- Insulation Resistance (MEGGER) testing of cables prior to initial energization- Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO) testing of electrical busway- Thermography for troubleshooting and condition monitoring of electrical equipment and rotating machinery. Qualitative (Level I) and Quantitative (Level II) certification upon completion of training.
A portion of initial training will be provided in Bennington, Nebraska, regardless of location of OJT placement.
