Clearing and Grading Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program
The program's primary goal is to provide participants with the skills necessary to operate a variety of heavy machinery used for clearing and grading construction sites. This training is designed to be a direct pathway to civilian employment, leveraging the service member's existing discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. Participants continue to receive their military pay and benefits while in the program, and there are no tuition costs.
The specific job duties for this position are as follows:1. Operation of Heavy Equipment - trainees will learn to safely and effectively operate a range of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.2. Safety and Maintenance - a strong emphasis is placed on safety protocols, as well as the routine maintenance and inspection of equipment.3. Essential Construction Skills - the training also includes foundational knowledge of construction principles, soil types, and environmental regulations.
Candidates will primarily work within the greater Columbus area on various job sites.
