Marine Service Technician - Electrical & Electronics Emphasis
Structured 22-week SkillBridge training program for Marine Service Technicians with emphasis on marine electrical systems, electronics, drivetrain, and diesel repower work. Combines ESI University certificated coursework with supervised on-the-job training at a full-service Pacific Northwest shipyard. High probability of full-time employment upon successful completion.
Participants will receive hands-on training in marine electrical installations (Victron AC/DC systems), marine electronics & NMEA 2000, shaft and propeller service, diesel repower support, and related systems. Training includes safety, shop standards, and customer job completion under senior technician mentorship. Successful graduates are considered for full-time Marine Service Technician positions.
EM (Electrician's Mate), and other electrical, electronics, or mechanical ratings
Must be within 180 days of separation and have command approval. Preference for candidates with electrical or mechanical experience.
None. ESI charges the participant nothing. Military pay and benefits continue through the Service.
