The Epsilon C5I DoD SkillBridge Project Management Internship is a structured 180-day transition program designed to prepare service members for careers in Program Management, Business Development, Proposal/Capture Management, Staffing Support, and Budget/Financial Analysis within the defense contracting environment.SkillBridge candidates participate in real NOVASTAR operations, gaining exposure to how the PMO executes federal contracts, manages customer relationships, and supports mission-critical programs for the U.S. Air Force and national security organizations.This internship is designed to translate military planning, leadership, and operational experience into industry-ready program management expertise, providing hands-on training with direct mentorship from Epsilon’s Program Managers, Capture Leads, and BD staff.

Summary: The Epsilon C5I DoD SkillBridge PMO Internship is a structured 180-day (or tailored) transition program designed to prepare service members for careers in Program Management, Business Development, Proposal/Capture Management, Staffing Support, and Budget/Financial Analysis within the defense contracting environment.SkillBridge candidates participate in real NOVASTAR operations, gaining exposure to how the PMO executes federal contracts, manages customer relationships, and supports mission-critical programs for the U.S. Air Force and national security organizations.This internship is designed to translate military planning, leadership, and operational experience into industry-ready program management expertise, providing hands-on training with direct mentorship from Epsilon’s Program Managers, Capture Leads, and BD staff.Duties and Responsibilities: Proposal & Capture Management• Understanding contract vehicles, TO solicitations, and RFP structures• Supporting color teams, compliance checks, and document control• Assist with developing proposal content, formatting, and submission packaging• Participating in capture activities (Gate reviews, competitor assessments, win strategy discussions)Program Management Operations• Deliverable tracking, schedule & risk management• Supporting PMs during government-facing reviews• Maintaining PM tools: IMS, risk registers, action item logs• Understanding government CDRLs and contract reportingBusiness Development (BD)• Pipeline research and opportunity qualification• Customer engagement preparation• Developing BD materials and tracking follow-up actions• Shadowing BD leads during strategy meetingsStaffing & Workforce Planning• Reviewing resume compliance against DoD labor categories• Supporting recruiting during proposal cycles• Maintaining staffing trackers and interview coordination• Exposure to HR/PM alignment in federal contractingBudgeting & Financial Tracking• Burn rate evaluation and CLIN funding awareness• Actuals vs. forecast reconciliation• Preparing PMR-ready budget slides• Understanding contract cost structures (labor, ODCs, indirects)Required Qualifications: • High School Degree • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance. • Effective written, oral, and presentation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • Master’s degree ADA Notations: • Regular communication (hearing/speaking). • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
