USAFUSAUSCGUSMCUSNUSSF
Program summary

The 90-day BlueDragon SkillBridge training program is designed for senior officers and enlisted personnel that are transitioning to leadership positions in the civilian workforce. Our training will dramatically enhance your understanding of critical thinking, systems theory, causal analysis, complex problem solving and many other key principles that are highly sought after in the workforce. According to a study by Zenger Folkman of over 330,000 leaders and managers, solving problems was tied for second as the most important skill leaders need at every level, and the #1 most important skill for middle managers. In another study by McKinsey & Co., HR professionals reported difficulty recruiting candidates who have the necessary problem solving and critical thinking skills. BlueDragon has pioneered a state-of-the-art, AI-enhanced framework—integrated with Lean and Agile principles and anchored by systems theory, critical thinking, and behavioral analysis. The BlueDragon framework (U.S. Patent Pending) unlocks the infinite potential of human problem-solvers by combining advanced artificial intelligence with proven methodologies. The result is an unparalleled ability to rapidly identify and eliminate deep-seated root causes of problems, delivering solutions with unmatched speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Roles & job description

in 90 days, BlueDragon interns will develop expertise in the most advanced root cause analysis methodologies, modern virtual frameworks, AI-enhanced data analysis, and strategic/proactive risk mitigation. Trainees will apply their military leadership experience alongside advanced causal analysis techniques to help organizations resolve longstanding, recurring, high-impact challenges. The program integrates cognitive bias training, data analytics, and AI-enhanced causal data analysis tools, preparing graduates for consulting in safety, risk management, and operations leadership roles. BlueDragon trained employees and consultants empower organizations to achieve measurable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, and financial performance while reducing operational risks and fostering continuous improvement. Using BlueDragon, organizations can prevent tragedies, solve complex and costly issues, tackle fraud, waste and abuse, and improve mission assurance, safety, and performance. The BlueDragon framework, has been adopted by the US Nuclear Weapons Complex, the US National Laboratories, and companies such as Westinghouse Electric (their Nuclear Reactor Division). BlueDragon has proven to be faster, more accurate, less biased, and more efficient than the previous generation of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies. It also addresses a significant gap in mainstream academia with respect to human-centric problem-solving techniques.

Interview prep for this program
Ask them
  • ▸ "How many of your past SkillBridge interns received full-time offers?" — a serious program knows the number.
  • ▸ "Who will my day-to-day mentor be, and what does week one look like?"
  • ▸ "The listing says 1 - 30 days — can that flex to my approved window if my command shortens it?"
  • ▸ "How do virtual interns stay visible to hiring managers — what worked for past cohorts?"
  • ▸ "You list IS, THAT, ARE — what did interns from those specialties end up doing here?"
  • ▸ Confirm the eligibility notes above — ask exactly what they need from you and when.
