A 6-week intensive training program designed for transitioning military service members. This program provides broad exposure to correctional operations, security, administration, and institutional services following BOP training standards. Note, the topics, days, and times are subject to change based on the individual needs of the institution
Employee Development (1 hour every Monday morning) – Weekly orientation & focus. HR Training (4 hours every Friday morning, except week 1 and 5) – Resume updates, USAJOBS, apply for positions, TSP, benefits, etc. Correctional Services Observing (intermittently throughout program) – Observing real-world application of training while shadowing our professionally trained Correctional Training Officers.Departmental Rotations (exposure to most departments) with preferred department shadowing during the last week of the program
Located along the Mississippi River on the Iowa / Illinois border. 2.5 hours from Chicago Illinois.
