Intelligence Research Specialist (IRS)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Intelligence Enterprise (IE), and serves in a developmental capacity under the leadership and guidance of a higher graded specialist. REQUIRED BASIC SKILLSET In order to fully support CBP border security operations, this position requires considerable knowledge of all but the most complex aspects of the CBP Intelligence Enterprise (IE) mission, functions, processes, policies, regulations, authorities, and partnerships including all of the following:CBP IE border security intelligence mission, and the use of both raw and finished intelligence production to support operations. CBP and DHS IE mission, programs and operations - and their functional relationship to the national intelligence priorities framework. CBP and DHS IE operational authorities and related border security laws, regulations, and policies. Intersection of the CBP mission and authorities with those of other federal agencies, state/ local/ territorial/ and tribal governments; and multi-agency collaboration for mission accomplishment.
