Program summary

A Human Resource Specialist Skillbridge participant assists the supervisor or senior specialist in providing personnel management advisory services affecting complex organizations with a wide variety of personnel actions requiring consideration of the total human resource management program. Provides advisory services on assigned portions of position management, policy, performance, processing, employee relations, and staffing; and provides general support within the scope described above. Provides limited technical guidance involving human resource management questions to managers, supervisors and employees regarding, evaluations, employee relations, training and processing.

Roles & job description

A Human Resources Specialist Skillbridge participant supports TSA’s human capital functions by assisting with research, reporting, administration, and HR operations. The participant provides support across functions such as staffing, employee relations, performance, and policy. Collaborates with HR specialists and program leads to complete tasks and research within established guidelines. Work includes interacting with employees and supervisors on HR issues, helping prepare documents, conducting research, and contributing to ongoing initiatives. Participants will be provided opportunities to develop knowledge of program principles, concepts, regulations, practices, analytical methods and techniques to perform routine, multiple, and varying assignments in assigned program areas.
