Program summary

Cybersecurity Analyst: Monitors security access, conducts security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis, performs both internal and external security audits, analyzes security breaches to identify the root cause, continuously updates incident response and disaster recovery plans, verifies the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security system requirements. Additionally, a Cybersecurity Governance Analyst focuses on the NIST SP 800-171 framework, and plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards, with a specific emphasis on safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Primary responsibility will be to assess, develop, and maintain NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity governance practices to protect sensitive information and assets.

Roles & job description

CyberNlNES Skillbridge internship is designed to train cybersecurity analysts in cybersecurity standards and regulations, specifically those related to the FAR, DFARS, and HSAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation). Interns completing the CyberNlNES program will be able to assist Federal Government contractors and vendors attain requisite cybersecurity protocols to attain and retain Federal contracts. Additionally, interns who complete the program will be well-positioned to become Certified CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) Assessors (CCA), and be able conduct CMMC audits on Department of Defense vendors/contractors on behalf of the Defense Contract Management Agency's (DCMAs) Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Audit Board (DIBCAC).

Eligibility notes

CyberNlNES is a fully-virtual company. 90-plus percent of its business is conducted via virtual means. Servicemembers who participate in the CyberNlNES Skillbridge internship will be required to have uninterrupted access to high-speed/broadband internet services during the company's working hours. Depending on geographic location, and internet service provider, the cost to the participant may vary widely.

Additional notes

Intern position is fully virtual, and can be participated in from anywhere - provided the participating servicemember ha s a continuous broadband internet connection during the company's working hours.
