Welder
The Welder SkillBridge Program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training and exposure to welding operations within a manufacturing environment. Participants will develop the technical skills required to perform metal joining processes, interpret work instructions and drawings, and support production requirements while adhering to established quality and safety standards. This program is designed to build foundational welding capability across manual and automatic processes, inspection preparation, and production workflows, with opportunities across multiple U.S. locations based on business needs.
The welder performs assigned metal joining operations in a manufacturing environment in accordance with established work instructions, engineering drawings, and applicable welding procedures. This role supports production requirements by preparing materials, executing welds across multiple processes and positions, and ensuring work meets quality and inspection standards. Experience with all types of welding materials; ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys; castings, forgings, plates, bars, etc., of any required thickness.High school graduate and certified welding program or equivalentExperience with all types and sizes of manual and automatic metal-joining equipment, including but not limited to AC and DC welding machines, sub-arc equipment, torches of all types, and compressed gasses as required.Experience with ovens, hand tools, all required personal protective equipment, clamps, measuring instruments, gauges, dial indicators, fire extinguishers, etc.Automatic welding experience (Buggo, Liburdi, Jetline)Experienced in multiple welding processes
Program duration and training scope may be expanded or condensed based on participant experience, qualifications, and transition timeline. Due to DoW requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
