USMC & USAF Account Manager - Internship
This training program prepares the participant to support the USMC or USAF account management activities within PacStar's defense communications business. The participant will develop working knowledge of PacStar products, USMC or USAF customer and procurement environments, CRM and forecasting practices, consultative selling, proposal support and cross functional coordination. By the end of the program, the participant will be prepared to manage assigned account activities with increasing independence while supporting customer relationships, opportunity development and revenue growth.
The USMC & USAF Account Manager is responsible for supporting revenue growth, account penetration, and customer relationship management for assigned United States Marine Corps accounts. This role supports PacStar, a Curtiss-Wright company, by developing trusted relationships with Marine Corps program managers, senior military leaders, technical subject matter experts, and other key decision makers. The position requires the ability to understand customer requirements, support long-cycle defense sales activities, coordinate internally with engineering and operational teams, and contribute to the development of account strategies that align PacStar hardware, software, and integrated communication solutions with mission-critical customer needs. • Strong understanding of USMC procurement processes, programs, program management, and defense contracting.• Experience working with USMC commands• Understanding of CRM tools and the value of data integrity• Proven success managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and high-value accounts• Working knowledge of voice, network, data, security products and solutions• Cisco experience preferred but not required• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills• Strong organizational and negotiation skills• Ability to work well with the team• Sound decision making and problem-solving capabilities• Ability to present professional image of self and Company• Ability to handle customer inquiries and escalations professionally• Thorough knowledge of computer and related business applications including MS Office• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and reliable vehicle as required by transportation needs of the market• Ability to travel up to 50%• Ability to access military installations to meet with customer base• Active or ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance from the US Government• Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Program duration and training scope may be expanded or condensed based on participant experience, qualifications, and transition timeline. Due to DoW requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals.
