Principal Engineer
The Principal Engineer serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, analysis, qualification, and development of mechanical equipment supporting commercial nuclear power generation. This role works closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop solutions for advanced reactor technologies, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), Generation IV reactors, and existing nuclear power plants. The position requires extensive experience performing structural, thermal, seismic, and pressure boundary analyses while supporting the development and qualification of valves, actuators, flow control equipment, rotary equipment, and structural components. The Principal Mechanical Engineer operates with a high degree of independence and technical authority while supporting product development, regulatory compliance, customer requirements, and business objectives.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS with 10+/MS with 7+/PhD with 5+) years of relevant experience.Demonstrated experience in Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS highly preferred).Demonstrated experience in pressure vessel, and metallic component analysis.Experience with valve and/or actuator design and analysis.Experience with at least one of the following ASME BPVC Section III (NB, NCD, NF, NE, or HBB), Section VIII Division 1 or Division 2, or Section I.Familiarity with IEEE 323, 344, 382 is a plus.Familiarity with ANSI/AISC N690 is a plus.Familiarity with parametric modeling (SolidWorks preferred).Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics is a plus.Experience in the nuclear industry is a plus.Professional engineering licensure in the US.
