CUBRC is at the forefront of data science and multisource information fusion research, developing technologies that address some of the most challenging problems facing our defense and intelligence communities.CUBRC’s Data Science and Information Fusion group (DSIF) consists of highly educated and skilled researchers, computer scientists, engineers and subject matter experts that specialize in the development of software and hardware systems supporting a wide variety of applications for our defense and intelligence communities. We leverage all of our core competencies to provide mature and secure software solutions focused on six key strategic areas (mission planning & optimization, advanced data integration & analysis, machine learning & artificial intelligence, specialized data ontology development, technology transition & system/software engineering services, modeling & simulation application). The CUBRC DSIF group provides mission critical software to the warfighter that leverages AI/ML techniques, ontologies, and information fusion methodologies. We are seeking a highly motivated individual that is responsible for the development and execution of automated and manual test cases to ensure our software meets specified requirements.

Roles & job description

In this role the applicant will:1.)Assist in the design, development, execution & reporting of test cases at all test levels: Unit tests System TestsIntegration TestsUX TestingScenario Definition2.)Integrate tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Pipeline & corresponding maintenance 3.)Perform data analysis against requirements and software build4.)Supporting Virtual and in-field experimentation eventsThe Test & Validation (T&V) Engineer I role is an entry level role responsible for the design, development, and execution of test cases to ensure that DSIF software requirements are met. With the advent of GenAI capabilities, we expect the T&E engineer to rapidly increase the quality of the software by creating complex tests to ensure that the capabilities developed are enhancing the warfighter.

Eligibility notes

1+ year of scripting skills (python, java, or similar programming language). Understanding of the software development lifecycle. 1+ year in requirements verification, integration testing, regression testing. Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite We welcome applicants from all military service branches. However, experience in infantry/combat arms roles is a significant plus, including: InfantrymanRifleman/ Machine Gunner / MortarmanLight Armored Vehicle Crew Or CommandInfantry Unit Leadership
