As part of the DOD SkillBridge Internship Program, Cubic Defense offers a unique and dynamic opportunity for interns to gain valuable experience in Business Development roles, with a primary focus on supporting the U.S. Marine Corps. In this program, you will become an integral part of our team, collaborating on the delivery of cutting-edge Command, Control and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR/GEOINT) capabilities to the Marines.
As an Intern Business Development Associate, you will be actively involved in supporting our business development department while you prepare for your transition from military service. This position operates under close supervision and direction, allowing you to learn from seasoned professionals while contributing to vital business development efforts.In the capacity of a business development intern, you will learn how our team develops specifically tailored Command, Control and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR/GEOINT) for the U.S. Marine Corps. Working collaboratively with a team of talented professionals, you will learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to ISR systems engineering. Your focus will revolve around inter-disciplinary communication and coordination, as you learn how the CDI team provides technical guidance to support the integration of advanced ISR/GEOINT solutions. This position typically operates under general supervision and direction, granting you regular opportunities to learn in a supportive environment.As a SkillBridge intern at Cubic Defense, you will be exposed to diverse and impactful projects and your responsibilities may evolve over time based on business needs. By being at the forefront of innovative technologies and solutions, you will play a critical role in enhancing the capabilities and readiness of our nation's Marines in the face of complex operational challenges.Developmental opportunities:1. Business growth learning opportunities:Learn how we conduct market research and assist in proposal preparation, pricing, and business analysis.Learn how we develop marketing and sales material, including presentations, product data sheets, graphics, and white papers.Observe how we aggregate bookings forecast estimates and prepare reports to track selling expenses and bid and proposal burn-rates.Learn to manage and update product line SharePoint sites and Salesforce opportunities.Learn to monitor government databases and media to evaluate and qualify new business opportunities.Learn to compile comprehensive research on potential partners and competitors to support informed bid/no bid decisions.2. Technical learning opportunities: Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to systematically convert customer needs into total systems solutions.Learn to gather, analyze, and report metrics to support continuous improvement.Comply with Cubic's values and adherence to all company policies and procedures.Minimum Job Requirements:Must be an active-duty service member or a member of the National Guard or Reserves within 180 days of separation date. Familiarity with Full Motion Video and ISR/GEOINT software/hardware developmentStrong communication and analytical skillsMust be self-motivated, well-organized, and possess excellent writing skillsThe internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge ISR/GEOINT technologies and the business development process. If selected for full-time employment with Cubic upon completion of SkillBridge, you will be eligible for base salary pay commensurate with experience plus benefits.
