Program summary

Crowder Construction Company is a self-performance general contractor building large industrial/environmental type projects. We offer an opportunity to work and train through various trades (as work schedule permits on each jobsite) to include carpentry, concrete, pipe, heavy equipment and potentially electrical.

Roles & job description

Potential jobs from this training could be carpenter, concrete, pipe layer and electrical helper to journeyman. With the current lack of qualified and trained craft skilled workers, any candidate going through our program should have a very good chance of full-time employment with us or any other local construction company depending on available work. Acceleration to higher pay and higher positions is based on several factors such as time in the seat, learning and work opportunities, employee work ethic, learning ability and leadership, and additional education.

Interview prep for this program
Ask them
  • ▸ "How many of your past SkillBridge interns received full-time offers?" — a serious program knows the number.
  • ▸ "Who will my day-to-day mentor be, and what does week one look like?"
  • ▸ "The listing says 151 - 180 days — can that flex to my approved window if my command shortens it?"
  • ▸ "Is relocation expected for a full-time offer, or can I convert where I am?"
  • ▸ "You list 120A, 12B, 12W — what did interns from those specialties end up doing here?"
  • ▸ Confirm the eligibility notes above — ask exactly what they need from you and when.
Bring to the conversation
  • ✓ Your projected start window and separation date (from your profile)
  • ✓ Your command's approval status — even "packet drafted" signals you're serious
  • ✓ Your civilian-translated resume bullets (generate them here)
  • ✓ A written training-plan ask — you'll need it for your packet anyway
