CompTech is seeking a Strategic Growth Director to lead federal capture and business development in support of DoD and national security missions.This role requires a hands-on leader with strong DoD relationships, deep knowledge of federal procurement, and the ability to drive opportunity identification, pursuit execution, and proposal development. The Strategic Growth Director will focus growth efforts across mission support, security, and force protection initiatives, with emphasis on cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and multi-domain operations. Please note this is a full-time opportunity and not suitable for individuals seeking work in a Consulting capacity.

Roles & job description

Work ScopeIdentify, qualify, and shape early-stage DoD acquisition opportunities by building and managing a forward-looking capture pipeline. Leverage market intelligence to develop win strategies, define capture plans, influence requirements, and align pursuits with corporate growth objectives and contract vehicles. Engage directly with customers to understand mission needs, priorities, and pain points, both virtually and onsite. Own federal growth by capturing new business and expanding CompTech’s footprint across the DoD (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force), Defense Agencies (DISA, DLA, SOCOM, NSA), and the Intelligence Community, leveraging direct customer access and prioritized contract vehicles. Expand contract vehicles—including IDIQs, GWACs, MACs, BPAs, OTAs, and task-order vehicles—to accelerate pipeline growth, shorten cycles, and increase win rates across DoD and IC customers. Build and convert a high-value pipeline by shaping requirements early, aligning capture strategies to on-ramp and re-compete opportunities, and translating mission needs into differentiated, executable solutions. Drive capture execution end-to-end, from early customer engagement and teaming through proposal, pricing, award, and transition, in close coordination with Operations and Program Management across new awards, recompetes, and option years. Leverage senior-level relationships across the Services, Combatant Commands, Defense Agencies, and IC to influence acquisition strategies, position CompTech on the right vehicles, and create repeatable paths to growth. Scale CompTech’s federal portfolio by anticipating acquisition policy shifts, optimizing vehicle utilization, and delivering disciplined, mission-aligned growth in support of U.S. defense and national security priorities. Contribute to broader business development and operational initiatives as required

Eligibility notes

Basic QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in federal business development and capture roles supported by a bachelor’s degree and established DoD customer relationships.Demonstrated success leading large-scale DoD and Intelligence Community capture efforts as both a prime and subcontractor.Prior experience as a Growth, Manager, Program Manager, Capture/Proposal Manager or Writer, and/or Contract Manager within the Federal Government landscape.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership and Government stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Willingness to support a rigorous meeting and travel schedule as required.Must be highly proficient with Government solicitation and acquisition toolsS. citizenship required, active or eligible for DoD Secret Security clearance.Prior U.S. military experience preferred.
