Pastoral Internship
The College Hills Baptist Church DOD SkillBridge Ministry Internship exists to equip transitioning servicemembers for a lifetime of faithful ministry by making disciples who make disciples who make disciples.Through intentional mentorship, biblical instruction, and real-world ministry experience, the programdevelops servant-hearted leaders grounded in God’s Word, committed to the local church, and preparedto impact others with the gospel of Jesus Christ.College Hills Baptist Church is honored to partner with the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridgeprogram to provide a structured 90-day pastoral ministry internship for service members transitioningto civilian life. This program provides focused mentorship, theological training, and hands-on ministryexperience to prepare candidates for leadership within local church settings.
Core Objectives:Engage in practical ministry training through supervised participation.Strengthen leadership and discipleship skills in a local church setting.Develop and execute ministry plans in line with CHBC’s mission.Support teaching, pastoral care, facility management, and outreach efforts.Receive mentorship and feedback from church leadership.Key Responsibilities:Assist with weekly service preparation and Sunday School coordinationSupport pastoral staff during worship, BTCL training, and prayer servicesParticipate in planning and implementation of ministry eventsContribute to facility maintenance and improvement effortsMaintain professional communication with congregation membersDocument and reflect on weekly learnings and insights
