Truck Driver Training - Employment Skills Training Program
The Truck Driver Training program provides training in all aspects of the transportation industry. Topics covered include hours of service, trip planning, FMCSA rules and regulations, personal health and fitness as well as practical application (on road driving and backing maneuvers). After completion of the course, students will take the NCDMV CDL Test and if successfully passed, will obtain a Class A CDL license. Students will also obtain NCDOT Flagger Certification, AHA CPR Certification, and DOT Hazmat theory.
Completing the course can offer jobs in multiple areas of the transportation industry, Mainly long distance truck driving. However, many other opportunities exist, heavy equipment hauling, oilfield work, dump truck, concrete hauling as well as tanker operations (hauling fuel). First year truck drivers typically earn $40,000 to $60,000.
