A carpenter performs multiple jobs on each jobsite including constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of all types, by methods conforming to all local building codes and by means of hand labor, power tools and heavy equipment. Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of specified materials and dimensions. • Fit and install window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware.• Lay out and construct wall sections.• Install roof trusses.• Install roof & wall sheathing.• Experience with and ability to use building levels including laser levels, power tools and pneumatic nail guns.• Ability to do basic interior millwork finish.• Knowledge of rebar installation and ability to pour concrete.• Ability and knowledge to erect and install steel-framed structures in correlation with wood-framed structures.• Ability to self-manage and to at times work autonomously without supervision.• Reliable and consistent attendance
OHSA 10/ 30 hour completed course preferredCarpenter hand tools necessary to perform above job duties - required - a list will be provided
