Program summary

The opportunity provided by BlackBird Rods is to utilize and magnify the skills and talents of qualifying interns in such a way that trains and teaches them how to successfully complete the needs and tasks associated with the automotive restoration, collision and customization industry.

Roles & job description

Must have knowledge and experience in classic automotive and muscle car repair and restoration. Must be able to work well with clients. Must have knowledge in metal fabrication both light and heavy. Must have experience in body repair. Must understand and be able to design, repair and implement automotive electrical systems. Must be able to effectively plan and execute projects from start to finish. Must be able to coordinate the many different stages of a complete restoration from start to finish. Must understand and have skill in automotive paint applications. This is a very physical job. Must be able to lift reasonably heavy items. Must be able to remove body panels and align new ones without losing the integrity or shape of the vehicle. Must be efficient and take pride in every aspect of your job.
