Battelle Skillbridge program - Internship Program

We are looking for a Skillbridge Technician to join our Defense & Material Solutions team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems. You will work with a team on a broad range of equipment at all phases of technological development. An ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is able to take concepts and designs and turn them into tangible solutions, including constructing, assembling, re-building, and independently assessing components, sub-systems, and systems. You will provide technical feedback and recommendations for improvement to a team of engineers and collaborators. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in reading technical drawings, schematics, and sketches; experience testing a wide range of mechanical and/or electrical systems; exhibits technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to complete complex assignments and demonstrates the ability to solve complex problems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience operating hand-tools and common machine tools; experience with complex mechanical and electrical systems in a maritime, avionics, or undersea environment; experience and/or qualification in a quality control/assurance program (e.g. quality assurance craftsman or inspector).
