Program summary

As an Associate Project Manager you will assist Project Management resources with key project activities including communication, change management, timely and on-budget completion of project deliverables while meeting client scope and quality requirements. All work will follow established AVI-SPL Project Management principles and procedures. AVI-SPL will help you acquire/develop skills over time to manage smaller complexity projects with the ultimate goal to progress into the Project Manager position.

As an Associate Project Manager intern, you’ll support our Project Management team and gain exposure to real-world AV project delivery, client communication, and operational workflows.This hands-on experience is designed to build a strong foundation in project coordination and prepare you for potential career opportunities post-transition.Day-To-Day ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow AVI-SPL project management processes and tools.Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and documentation.Participate in internal and external project kick-off meetings.Support internal and external communications related to project status.Monitor progress through site reports and raise issues as needed.Assist with closeout documentation and project wrap-up tasks.Shadow experienced Project Managers across different phases of the project lifecycle.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMust-Haves:Active duty service member approved for SkillBridge participation.Interest in project coordination, operations, or AV/technology.Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.Nice-To-Haves:Prior exposure to AV or IT systems.Familiarity with tools like Excel, Smartsheet, or scheduling software.Comfort in customer-facing or field environments.WHY YOU’LL LIKE TRAINING HEREReal-world experience in a high-growth industry.Supportive team environment with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.Exposure to cross-functional departments and project life cycles.Career guidance and mentorship throughout your transition.Opportunity to be considered for full-time roles after successful completion.
