Product Strategy, Business Development & Go-To-Market FellowThis position will support the commercialization and growth efforts of an early-stage energy storage company developing advanced sodium-ion and zinc-based battery technologies. Through structured training and mentorship, the fellow will gain experience in customer discovery, market analysis, strategic partnerships, product strategy, and go-to-market execution within the energy storage sector.Training Objectives:Participants will gain practical experience in• Energy storage market analysis and competitive assessment• Customer discovery and stakeholder engagement• Product positioning and value proposition development• Strategic partnership development and pipeline management• Go-to-market planning and execution• Translating customer requirements into product specifications• Business development processes within a high-growth technology startup
Duties and Learning ActivitiesUnder the guidance of company leadership, the fellow will:• Conduct market research and competitive intelligence assessments across commercial, industrial, defense, and energy markets.• Participate in customer discovery interviews to identify customer requirements, pain points, and product opportunities.• Assist in developing customer presentations, case studies, ROI analyses, and marketing collateral.• Support development and management of customer and partner pipelines utilizing CRM tools and business development processes.• Contribute to product definition activities by translating customer feedback into technical and commercial requirements.• Participate in strategic planning discussions related to product roadmap, market entry, and commercialization strategies.• Assist in identifying and evaluating partnership opportunities with industry, government, and research organizations.• Support proposal development, pilot opportunities, and early customer engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:• Military experience in operations, engineering, logistics, acquisitions, business, intelligence, or program management preferred.• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Interest in clean energy, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurship.
